Oil pulling

I implemented oil pulling in my daily rituals because of the fact, that it is an ancient practice that involves swishing oil in your mouth to remove bacteria and promote oral hygiene. It is often associated with Ayurveda, the traditional medicine system from India. There are a lot of studies, which suggest that oil pulling can kill bacteria in the mouth and improve dental health. Some alternative medicine practitioners also claim that it can help treat several diseases.

The two of the biggest benefits of oil pulling for me are how simple it is to do and how easily it can be implemented into your daily routines.
Additionally, it requires just one product/ingredient that can be found in every kitchen, so there’s no need to buy anything. I personally use sesame oil, as it is typically traditional for oil pulling and I think the taste is pretty neutral, but other types of oil can be used as well. For example, coconut oil and olive oil is another popular choice thanks to its ability to fight inflammation. You need to set aside just 20 minutes each day for oil pulling and use the extra time, for example, to multitask around home.

Here are 3 easy steps to do oil pulling:

  1. Measure one tablespoon of oil (coconut, sesame or olive oil)
  2. Swish it around in your mouth for 15–20 minutes
  3. Spit the oil into a trash.

My book for the most beautiful words

Some months ago, I started to write sentences, quotas and words down, which touched me in an emotional way. Words, which inspire, motivate and bring me into a deep thinging mode. Sometimes it´s just somebodys words from a conversation or something I read in a book or magazine. So the source is basically everywhere. Everwhere where is spoken or written word. The reason why I write them down, is the fact, that words has such a big power on us. They can bring you in every emotional mood – making you happy and grateful – but they can also destroy you. Sometimes we don´t really recognize the power of words and the way they were said.

That´s why I started to write down for me the most inspirational and motivational words, that create positive energy. I catch the best ones, in keeping them in my book.

Water with Lemon

Lemon water has become a popular morning beverage since it’s been claimed to help to improve your energy levels, immune system, and metabolic health.
It is simply the juice from lemons mixed with water. Depending on your taste is the amount of lemon you use and if the drink is cold or hot. You can also choose to add lemon rind, mint leaf or other ingredients.

I personally love it just simple, with warm water after doing oil pulling. For me its the perfect start in the day.

3 things for being grateful

Before going to bed, I think about the things that made me happy and created a smile on my face during the day. And the three first thing that immediately comes in my mind, find a place in my small book, that always lies next to my bed. This could be small simple things like somebody smiled at me on a bus or I tasted a super yummy tea and felt good afterward. I think it´s really important to realize the good and positive things that happened to you and surround you in your life. Being grateful is so crucial for your happiness. And when I feel bad, I just need to have a look in my book, to realize how grateful I can be for my life and how many positive things are happening. Unfortunately, we humans, are tend to recognize the negative things much more than the positive. When somebody gives you a compliment and afterward you hear something negative from a person, you will think about this negative thing the whole day, no matter if there were much more positive things happening to you before. That´s why we sometimes need a break to sort our thoughts and to focus on the positive things

This simple ritual has a really big influence on my mind and gives me a lot of positive energy. I hope you also try this out and convince yourself on how much more grateful and happy you will be after implement this small ritual in your life.
